Christopher Vogt is the Director of Equity Strategies at the Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) and leads the equity-investment function for the grant making entities at the Philanthropies. Mr. Vogt oversees the equity portfolio in order to meet the program needs of MACP in accordance with its shared values. The Equity Strategies Group manages the entire equity risk spectrum globally including public, private, hedged, and direct investments. Before joining MACP, Mr. Vogt was the Global Head of Hedge Funds at Allstate Investments. He was responsible for all hedge fund related activities across the Allstate Insurance enterprise. Prior to Allstate, Mr. Vogt developed equity index option systems and traded listed derivatives for Bank of America Futures, Inc. He started his career as a pit trader at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Vogt earned a BA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.
